Bunge HQ Adelaide
Following the merger of Viterra and Bunge, a new chapter called for a new workplace, one that could support a transformed organisation while giving its people somewhere they genuinely wanted to work.
Bunge engaged Contour Interiors to deliver their 2,400sqm Adelaide headquarters, beginning with a workplace strategy that clarified how their teams work and how their connection to agriculture could be meaningfully expressed in the space. This early alignment created a clear foundation for decision-making and ensured the workplace would support both people and performance.
Contour worked closely with Bunge to create a refined, contemporary environment grounded in natural materials and agricultural references. Timber, terracotta tones, and earthen finishes are layered throughout, with a palette that shifts between collaborative and focus areas. A custom wheat feature wall brings Bunge’s story into the space in a way that is subtle, authentic, and meaningful to the people who use it.
Biophilic design plays a central role, with integrated timber screens, planted booths, ceiling features, and greenery throughout the workplace improving wellbeing and reinforcing a connection to the land. The layout is organised around a central social hub, connecting a series of neighbourhoods that offer a consistent mix of focus, collaboration, and informal spaces to support different ways of working.
The result is a cohesive and high-performing workplace that reflects Bunge’s identity, strengthens team connection following the merger, and enhances the day-to-day experience of its people.
